Weekly merrymaking and grog guzzling every friday at 8pm,starting at the Golden Lion on the Golden Lion bank (between woolworths and the swing bridge).
Whitby International Pirate Society was created after a pantomime play,a drinking competition and Pirates of The Caribbean(curse of the black pearl) Wh.I.P.S aims to raise money for our chosen charity, Whitby lifeboats,whilst having fun dressing up as pirates.You will find us every Friday starting at the Golden Lion pub.All are welcome to join in the merrymaking.We also plunder Robin Hoods Bay on occasions so please contact us to check locations etc.
New crew members are always welcome,no matter how little costume.We are not historical so Hollywood style is fine or simply a shirt and bandana. (and trousers/skirt of course)!!
