Pirates on the Bark Endeavour

EVENT
Pirates Board the Bark Endeavour

VENUE
HM Bark Endeavour
Unit 4
Castlegate Quay
Stockton-on-Tees
TS18 3BB

VENUE DETAILS
Bark Endeavoir Website

DETAILS
The last event of this kind aboard Endeavour in August 2006 saw the "largest Pirate crew to board a free-floating, full-sized square-rigged ship for 300 years" : special daily entertainments saw sword-fights, musketry and many other maritime-themed demonstrations aboard the ship and on the quay including Seamanship, Navigation, Life at Sea and Pirate Games for Children - with the post-event publicity making a special feature in a popular UK history magazine and reaching as far as the USA.

The planned event once again will offer three days of pirate-style maritime entertainment especially including going aboard a beautifully reconstructed ship to meet the costumed pirate crew who offer visitors an entertaining, educational, informative - and amusing - experience.

Special "Opening Ceremony" at 11.00am on Saturday where members of Stockton Town Council will be invited to perform the actual Opening and our Guests can then enjoy a short guided tour and a glass of rum with a Pirate Captain in The Great Cabin aboard ship.

Richard's new book concerns maritime navigation in the period 1690-1730 including Bark Endeavour at Stockton.
